Description:
Yellow Bishop Euplectes capensis is an abundant member of the grassland bird community in southern and eastern Africa. They are often found in fields, including farmland where they eat crops. This one is a male in non-breeding plumage; in breeding plumage they are jet black with bright yellow shoulders and rump.
