Description:
DNA work showed that Mountain Sooty Boubou is actually two species, one that lives above 2000m elevation, one below. The lower elevation species was recently described as a new species and was named Willard's Sooty Boubou (Laniarius willardi) after long-time Field Museum Bird Division collections manager Dave Willard.
