Bugulumisa Road forest

Each morning we would pile into the back of a park pickup truck and be driven up this track to our study site. The forest here lacked huge trees, a sure sign of past logging activity. Fortunately it's now well protected and the forest is coming back. Photo © Josh Engel / The Field Museum.
