Rockefeller's Sunbird (Cinnyris Rockefelleri)

There were no confirmed records of Rockefeller's Sunbird (Cinnyris rockefelleri) since 1963 until local hunter captured this adult male along with two juveniles that he brought to our camp. Unfortunately we never had a chance to have him show us where he caught them--we ended up having to pack up camp sooner than expected, on the very day we had planned on climbing to the high plateau where the bird lives.
